Content Management System 2.0 …almost finished!

About two years ago, we started to notice a trend with our clients here at Nealon Web Designs. Everyone wanted the ability to update their website on their own, with no help from a web designer. And who can blame them? To help meet this demand, Nealon Web Designs started developing our own Content Management System (CMS) that would allow our clients to log in to their websites and make changes themselves. This was a huge hit with not only our current clients, but also allowed us to obtain new clients that found the idea of editing their own website very intriguing. Now, don’t get me wrong, even two years ago a CMS wasn’t anything new. They have been around for some time. We recently started a new project called ski-pennsylvania.com. It is a website that is as informative about skiing in Pennsylvania as any others we could find. We plan on adding more features to it in the coming weeks including weather and ski reports, specials and coupons from ski resorts across Pennsylvania and more.

Another Helpful Product – Highrise

I wanted to let everyone on a little secret I use to help keep track of all of our clients and customers. Many of you will find it helpful for your own business.

The product is called Highrise and it a Customer Relations Manager (CRM). It allows you to keep track of your clients, keep their information up-to-date and more. It is made by a company called 37Signals. They offer many other products aswell as this one. Check them all out.

Highrise is great because you can not only keep track of your customers and clients but add tasks to each on, keep track of communications you have had with them and more. The best part, the starter package is FREE. You have nothing to lose by trying it out. I can vouch that we would be lost without it and we highly recommend it. Everyone can benefit from it, not just a web design company from Pennsylvania…(us, ha).
